The fashion world this week has handed another shake up here at www.sendoptics.com we are still giddy from the shock news that Balenciaga and Nicolas Ghesquière are to part ways after 14 years.

The S/S 2013 was received with the highest of acclaims everyone from Italian to Nipon Vogue considered this the collection to return Balenciaga back to a household name.

Balenciaga this year launched it's second new wave scent with a new face that is full of controversy. Kirsten stewart the heartbreaker of Robert Patterson is the face of Florabotanica the latest fragrance.

What does this have to do with you avid sunglasses fiends I hear you say. Steady on Judges' , it is simple... this years collection of Balenciaga sunglasses, the last to be made by the infamous Safilo under the creative direction Nicolas Ghesquière is sure to be a fashion collectors item. Rumours are siting that the relaunched house of Schiaparelli have poached Balenciaga's own hurricane sandy.

I don't know about you Judge' , s but this year in fashion has seemed like the end and rebirth all in one with so many high profile parting of ways.

So for now Judges I would just like to wish Nicolas Ghesquière the best of luck in everything he does in the future and await with baited breath to see what is coming next.

Before i finish this week, in the Gaurdian newspaper uk , not only did they run an article on glasses but they stated ti was the biggest fashion accessory of the coming seasons. biggest of news was not only that Victoria Beckham was sick of not being able to see properly but was designing a collection with Cutler and Gross.

So who is your favourtie Glasses wearer? mine personally are more political than mere celebrity. People of power and stature and that made a difference to society or history.

McQueen creates a buzz this year, and 'that' dress

Well hello Judges,

I hope this finds you well and all cosey, the clocks are firmly set back and it's ofically winter here in cold Blighty. It has not stopped us wearing our sunglasses with pride. I have found the early crisp mornings rather confusing for one's wardrobe. How many layers are too much in this cold weather???

Judges' , allow me to tell you a little about Mcqueen

Mcqueen strode onto the international fashion radar back in the 90's. He was renowned for his use of provocative cutting techniques to his tailoring, and sensational catwalk shows. Mcqueen never shyed away from controversy, and relished the attention his antics bought , and it was these methods that made the label Mcqueen one of the must have labels still today.

Mcqueen has had a fantastic year overall this year first they were the chosen House to make the most famous dress of the year and possibly in recent history. The wedding dress for Kate Middleton changed many peoples perceptions on the house itself and attracted attention for the craft that the house is renowned for. A collection that was based on the humble honey bee and it's creations finished this year to raptuous applause.

This year , Mcqueen has recorded record profits and celebrated in true style by opening a menswear store in Saville row. Lee Mcqueen began his tailoring career with royal roots established making suits for Prince Charles amongst others.

If you like your sunglasses in strong shapes, flashes of colour and on some models a little Mcqueen finish with the houses famous Skull.

Well Judges' , I am off to watch some tv with the fire blazing and my extra thick socks ready for the months ahead.

Here at www.sendoptics.com we have been very busy of late with a much bigger interest in our homegrown British designers ... both Stella McCartney and Paul Smith. Stella McCartney and Paul Smith are both multi national renowned designers that have created a huge buzz this year what with the Olympics and two knockout seasons for the pair.

Paul Smith Started in Nottingham and now has shops all over the world creating high fashion for any element of your life. 18 years ago Paul Smith launched his eyewear range designed by Oliver Peoples. The two companies still share the same passions for excellence in fashion and quality. The two are a match made in Optical heaven both loving vintage pasts and a zest for quirks.

This year has seen Paul Smith opening new stores across Europe, America and Asia like he has never heard of the recession. Launching new lines such as Bicycles, Mens and Womens and reinventing kidswear yet again with his signature humour and style.

Paul Smith is being honoured with an exhibition at the London design museum for his Golden year in fashion. Collaborations with the likes of Barbour are another string to Paul Smith's bow . Cheryl Cole is still a massive fan and with spending more time in the states is rarely spotted without a pair of Swarovski sunglasses as is Christina Aguilera. Raf brings a fresh new look with new blood.

Hello Judges,

Well a lot has been happening over the last few weeks and sorry the blog has suffered from a lack of content. I promise I will be back on three times a week from now on.

So Judges, hopefully you have been keeping tabs on the updates of www.sendoptics.com the new look has gone hand in hand with new looks being launched all over the catwalks. Dior was the hottest ticket in Paris with the unveiling of a tame and timeless collection that was updated from the archives the fashion world has gone mad for his Couture and his ready to wear collection was simple yet stunning.

Dior has already teased us with their new look sunglasses collection and I have to say you will see a couple of images on this blog of the forth coming collection. The collection itself is not hugely disimilar to 'Les Marquises' this years hugely popular collection. The collection is based around the popular cats eye shape.

Dior as a label is renowned for a style that is simplistic yet showy and always will be renowned for ultra rich quality in both fabric and finish. The sunglasses collection is no different, and will give you a luxury look without costing a small fortune.
