A date with Dior

Well Hello Judges,
The weeks are flying by, and all moulding into one. This week so far we have had the nail biting England match and I hate to admit it, but Italy, you were the better side...well done!. Queens club was controversially closed due to David Nalbandian shocking the crowds and injuring one of the linesman with the sponsor boards. Wimbledon has just started, and surprise, surprise...the weather is holding out...so far. Royal Ascot has been and gone, and have to say thank god for the Daily Mail's fashion coverage of some of the state's of dress ...thanks to the new dresscode...... blue spandex and fake boobs look questionable in what is supposed to be a classy affair.
Talking of a class date, we are all looking forward to is the first show by Dior's new man in place Raf Simons. The rumour mill is already wondering and spouting off what the inspiration for his collection will be, and if he will carry it off. Personally, I think Raf will do a sterling job. He has an affinity for design and he will take the Dior back to it's true ethos with his usual modern interpretation .
The Dior sunglasses collection this season is inspired namely by retro shapes , and subtle colours and the staple classic black. Cat's eyes and big shapes are the staple in many collections but Dior are doing what they do best and revisiting the past and spinning it with the new colours. The nude colours are a particular success and the red in Les Marquises Dior Hatuaa are second to none and currently your most favourite and Vogues favourite retro frame.
Dior homme Black tie collection sunglasses mix masculine frames with upfront fashion and a mix of old styles in strong masculine colours. My personal favourites are the Dior black tie 120s. Jay Z is a massive fan of both the black tie collection and Bottega Venetta sunglasses . If it's good enough for Mr Beyonce then it's good enough for us Judges.
Gucci is attracting a host of the new blood in the style stakes .Robert Pattison, and Spidermans Emma stone both stunned at premieres and R patt's is on the phone to headquarters for his red carpet style tips and of course freebies. Also Gucci have never failed in the style stakes and are classic and made of the highest quality materials for the classics you know you can count on Gucci. So look at our Gucci sunglasses on www.sendoptics.com.
For now Judges' , thank you so much for reading and also for those of you who like us on 'send optics' facebook page.
For now Judges stay cool and keep 'em peeled

Euro 2012 is in full swing so lets celebrate!

Hello Judges,
Well what a roller coaster of a weekend this one has so far proved to be. The weather seems its usual unpredictable British self..... rain and wind followed by the sun and even temperatures. Enough of that for now or you will think me a typical Brit sparking up the usual conflab. So in this weeks news we have had Spain accepting a bailout of epic proportions, is 25% unemployment and 45% cuts to the education system not enough to think that the country could prove to be a little like Greece? I feel sorry for us real folk who work or want to work hard and then just are at the mercy of the grand puppeteers.... Who is pulling the strings.....
Enough politics, and onto the wonderful game of football. If you love it, or hate it, this summer there will be no escaping the Euro 2012. The town last night was buzzing with folk outside and inside watching the matches live on the big screen. So Europe is in crisis and how are fashions big houses coping with this.? Well ,of course throwing a multitude of new products at us Dolce & Gabanna have so far created a wonderful collection of both men's and womenswear, make up encased in 'Lace' or leopard print packaging echoing back to the feminine high tech 'Lace collection' and to celebrate the Euro 2012 is the coffee table book that features the Italian national squad in Dolce & Gabbana. Incidentally the Naughty Italian duo have tailored the squads suits for Euro 2012. Not to mention the luxury leopard print cycles for every stylish lady and gent about town.
Gucci ( Gucci sunglasses )though not so much in fashion news as everyone else at the moment continue to clothe the backs of every A Lister and any newcomer wants this historical house. Gucci itself is making big news in the luxury market over in China ,supporting the search for young musician of the year 2012. This is a clever strategic move for the luxury Italian house as the market over in the far east is the fastest growing market, and is currently set to be worth more than the whole of Europe in another 3 years. Gucci have collaborated with many companies over the years and this year saw another iconic Italian label seek help to celebrate a milestone. Fiat utilised Gucci for both the interior design and also upholstery design for their remake of the companies 500, hence their two limited styles called the 500. Gucci has over the last year created it's own museum celebrating the rise of the house from it's meagre beginnings to the mass global giant we see before us today. The giant does have a heart with it's launch of a sustainable eyewear collection last year as well, so Gucci is another company like Stella McCartney who mix ethics with style.
Talking of brands bigging up the Far East , Bottega Veneta has won the hearts of super chic Chinese shunning the likes of Louis Vuitton and traditional brands for the new line of historic fashion houses who shun Logo emblazoned design for the subtler luxury market. Bottega Veneta also celebrated the opening of it's first menswear store in New york where the store offer personalized accessories with monogrammed detailing. Another successful resort collection under its belt, and I still love their current Bottega Veneta sunglasses collection so much, I have several pairs ...just a shame the weather keeps trying to spoil my fun.
So Judges', you may have noticed that on the send optics facebook page I have been putting on my glasses icons, if not then please let me know who your eyewear heroes are.
For now Judges' I am off for a pint to watch another match ....
Keep 'em peeled

Gucci, Gucci, Coupe....

Hello fellow Judges,
I hope you are all well and rested. We here at http://www.sendoptics.com/ are finally recovered from keeping abreast of all the latest fashion news and also fashion weeks. We enjoyed London for its usual cutting edge style that keeps Brittania ruling those waves, New York for its Modern corporate look, Paris for its Luxury two fingers up to the economic backlash and my personal favourite was Milan.
Italians do, do it better that is for sure the Milan fashion week has two faces these are Saturday night favourites Dolce & Gabbana, Prada, and the breathtaking Miu Miu collection which was the usual riot of color and print. The collection would of made many don there sunglasses. The young, fashion, on trend and forward thinking style mobs loved all of these labels collections. It was for Milan a truly exciting time and forgetting like other fashion packs the depressing economic cut backs.

As polar opposites to these you have the mature grown up power pack of Milan that still dominate the fashion magazines with their multiple lines and even hotels. Labels that helped shape the Italian look from back in the seventies include Giorgio Armani, Prada and of course the label on everyone's lips at the moment Gucci. The label saw itself back to it's true self simple shapes, effortless glamour, and a massive smattering of graphic block prints how could they have failed.

At http://www.sendoptics.com/Gucci.html the usual styles of aviator, big styles and angular sunglasses rule the collection and update any wardrobe to look like a gucci ambassador for style. Color is a massive inclusion to the collection this time with berry and nudes and lashings of Platinum and gold.

We love the fantastic reinvention of the collection and the subtler logo still present but not as prominent the famous Interlocking G

So you as the Jury it is upto you to let us know what you think of the new Gucci collection in relation to the other wonders we have to offer.

Have a great couple of days, until next time Keep on judging and keep em peeled

Italians do it better

Well Judges'

We here at sendoptics.com are preparing for summer discussing holidays at the moment. Whilst this cold weather is still keeping us in with its grip, we need something to keep our spirits up!. So have you decided to go abroad or staycationing this year? The UK has has some amazing places to visit. Just think Cornwall, The Lakes, The Cotswolds, Scotland, Wales, ireland and you will have a great time , but here at Judge Opticians Leicester we are talking Italy. Al fresco dining, snappy dressing and of course sunglasses at night in the piazza.

So this takes us to this little blog where we are going to reming you of some of the greats that Italy have produced. Italian fashion can be divided into two camps. You have the simple elegance of Giorgio Armani who celebrated 40 years of fashion opening a hotel in Milan 'as you do' last year.along side Armani's elegance you have the simplicity that is Gucci who the celebrities still love and they create a huge amount of fuss each year with their winning accessories. Check out this seasons Gucci sunglasses.

The other camp you have can be described as brash, showy,or just plain simple glamourous fashion. Dolce and Gabbana have been the darlings for over twent years with their mens and womens lines alike. For the ladies you will have winning black dresses, oodles of leopard print and of course lace ( see the lace collection in the Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses at sendoptics.com ).Bvlgari is famous primarily for its jewellery, watches, handbags and hotels but they have branched out into sunglasses.

Armani sunglasses and Gucci sunglasses are favourites with pretty much anyone who likes simple design that is high on trend. Shapes that you will notice this year are the reintroduction of rounds for Armani, and an overhaul of clasics for Gucci.

Dolce and Gabbana sunglasses and Bvlgari sunglasses are a little more trend led , infact, what the heck, theses sunglasses are high fashion over sized frames and signature finishes which make these sunglasses instantly recognisable. Patterns and bright colours often are used to the max by these designers to stunning effect.

So Judges', which Italian camp do you fit into?. The sleek and stylishly classic or the high voltage on trend fasionista?. Whichever way you swing, be sure to consider some of the latest looks and inject some Italian passion into your wardrobe, even if it is just accessories.

For now Judges' we are off to book a summer holiday,

Keep them peeled,

The Judge.
