Phew Judges,
What a corker of a day the sun has really been beaming through the windows today. We have had so many in the shop today looking and buying Sunglasses it has made us all a little weary at the end of the day. I have a huge smile on my face from being so busy, but no rest for the wicked and on with the today tasty titbits.
Where are my manners... how the devil are, you my fellow style police? Have you been busy or relaxing, getting out and about in this fine weather? I have been pottering about on the decking and even sat outside with a nice glass of red yesterday evening enjoying the warmer nights. The heating has firmly been switched off now, so please stay with us for a bit longer.
You may have noticed that little old me has passed on a little gift to keep you all happy you may have noticed a rather hurried image that has been placed in the banner reel and button on the right. For those of you that just go straight for the products, I will explain.
The image states up to 20% off sunglasses and that is simple as that all sunglasses now have a minimum of 17.5% off the rrp, in effect what I am doing is paying most of the the v.a.t for you in the UK and for you overseas you will not be missing out on the discount I can assure you. (As soon as I have finalised this and a clear way to explain it I will post the full terms on the site). For the time being ,just drop myself an email via the contact us and I will tell you how this works.
The saving is not the only thing I will be giving you either with every pair of sunglasses you will be offered the choice of either a lens care kit or spectaloop a new magnetic way of carrying you sunglasses.
No it's not a gimmick from now on this discount will remain and the choice of gift.
Whilst I am talking of money and Sunglasses some of you are already clued up on the labels we stock but allow me a moment to tell you about Bvlgari sunglasses. The house is not Russian but Italian as many think. The house is older than Chanel and Dior yet remains almost a secret with those purveyors off quality. Bvlgari eyewear this season takes inspiration from coins and the collection is based on simple colours and varied shapes big and small.
So all I can say for now is enjoy the discounted sunglasses from now a gift from us at send optics so tell your friends, hell tells your frenemies tell the world.
Sendoptics is the home of discounted designer sunglasses
Keep 'em peeled. The Judge.

Lace Appeal
Hey Judges,
Welcome to another installment of the www.sendoptics.com blog by none othe than 'The Judge'. It's still all go here at Judge Opticians based here in Leicester. Winter seems to have really taken a hold with everyone bringing the cold in with them. The smiles and comments of appreciation though keeps us warm (yes we Judges' do have a heart).
Well, we hope wherever you happen to be reading this you are currently keeping warm and well.We have had a glut of feedback and comments on our recent posts and are busy listing all these for when we get together with our wonderful website folks, whom without this site would still be in its unimproved state.
We have to make a little apology regarding some of the missing photographs. This is due to the delay in us receiving the actual models and getting a little ahead of ourselves, we are hard at it, we promise.
So we hope you have been keeping up with everything that is going off with the site and are loving the vastly improved appearence, as are we!. If there is anything you need to contact us about please do not hesitate to use the 'contact us' form on the homepage (an awful lot of you seem to have noticed it already) we do love to hear from you and any enquiries we do our upmost to respond within 24 hours on a weekday.
Well, on trend that we at www.sendoptics.com are proud to have been pushing last year is finally flourishing as a whole for you ladies, yes we Judges' are so ahead of our time!. This week Dolce and Gabbana have announced that 'Lace' is the new 'Black' . Rather a strong comment i hear you cry but no, no, no ! (Is that Amy Winehouse in the background again?).
The trend is coming through in various forms in S/S 2012 from traditional French lace to techno lace with intricate detailing and even lazer cut leather to create subtle lace effects. This look is hardly surprising considering fashion's nostalgic mood of late. The look is even stronger come A/W 2012 when eveningwear and couture showed little but lace in many of the top collections.
So how does this relate to accessories?. The current trends in sunglasses are no longer just solid hues; nude frames are becoming le mode nouveau (get us being all european!) Dolce And Gabbana being so ahead of their time last year launched the infamous Ultra luxurious 'Lace Collection' . These are made of lace embedded in high quality acetate. The sunglasses are available through www.sendoptics.com allbeit of very limited stock (it's no longer possible to order the collection). Dolce and Gabbana only made so many of each style and they are becoming something of a collectors item even after just one season. So come on ladies, stay ahead of the trends and know for the foreseeable future the only judgement passed on to you will be where did they get such stylish sunglasses.
For now our fellow Judges' we are signing off as it is time for us to carry on unpacking the new stock (it really does seem like a never ending job, and a massive thank-you to our photographer who seems to have the patience of a saint and whom without we would not be able to present such strong images).
Keep them peeled,
The Judge.

So How Do You Choose Your Sunglasses?
So how dou you choose your sunglasses?
Well, welcome back to another fun but informative blog from www.sendoptics.com Here's hoping you are well and enjoying your week so far? The temperature maybe cold but here in the studio we are carefully unpacking more and more sunglasses that we are photographing at a rate of knots! (Many thanks Margaret!). So much so that the poor Judge's hands are all looking like a blur. We have so far updated the Prada female collections... (a few more to be added as well I hasten to add) to include their much talked about "Swing" collection and Miu Miu's "Carte Noire" collection these designer sunglasses are designed with a retro glam feel and are fast becoming the sunglasses for the sophisticate femme fatale to be seen about town in...Be in there first and get www.sendoptics.com 105 discount of rrp.
Now I know some people are probably recoiling at the thought of being seen in something as extrovert as the Prada "Swing" or the Miu Miu "Carte Noire" so we are going to be letting you into a few secrets on how to choose your designer sunglasses and the shapes and styles.
So as you may or may not know there are FIVE FACE SHAPES that we all belong to. We are going to give you some tips on identifying your faceshape and what sort of shape sunglass will best suit you.
1) THE SQUARE - In Gent's this is known as the square jawed, in ladies look no further for the perfect example than the Jackie 'O' who was renowned for wearing big glamourous sunglasses. This look of rounded or catseye shape is perfect for making the squarer face look less harsh. With Gent's you are looking to emphasise the squareness of the jaw so look for sharp angles.
Ladies...Dior Myladydior 5
Diorladycat 1
Stella McCartney SM4016
Gents.........Dsquared DQ0068
Prada SPR 14O
2) THE TRIANGLE - The heart shaped face or for the macho man triangular faces are described as a wider forehead to a tapering chin, and for both ladies and gents sunglasses with a wider bottom line and a curved top line suit as well as the catseye shape and well rounded frames, you ladies are spoilt!!!
Ladies... Dsquared DQ0080
Gents.........Paul Smith Romiley
3) THE OBLONG/LONG FACE - You guys are very lucky in your choices the frames are best to be thick and with large lenses, fashion forward frames and retro or vintage styles but just think BIG and dont be afraid to stand out!
Ladies.........Swarovski Amazing
Gents..........Christian Dior Blactie 120S
4) The ROUND - this is one of the trickier frames to settle on as most people with this shape face are often a little shy and self critical. The best advice for you would be to look for narrow frames that also rise to the temples. Colour can also make a big difference and there are some amazing colours in the collections this year. Also "Tortoiseshell" will add definition whether it be the classic or more fashion based patterns can really make a difference. So our final advice for you is dont be afraid to try something new and daring as everyone deserves to look and feel their best!
Ladies....Diormitza 2
Gents.....Paul Smith Berling
5) THE OVAl - No we don't mean the Cricket Ground smart Alecs!..The shape is often considered the most aesthetically appealing for both men and women. Many artists have chosen their models for this fact. The face itself is a soft sweeep from temple to chin. choosing sunglasses for this shape is relatively painles in fact you have the widest choice as ANY FRAME from sporty styles through to designer frames will suit, it's all a matter of personal taste.
Just remember choose the sunglasses for YOU! Don't always folow the crowd! Make sure they are genuine, we at www.sendoptics.com gaurantee 100% all our sunglasses . The sunglasses should offer UVA/UVB protection. You will also see on a lot of ours we offer prescription glazable option.
Well the lecture is over for today. We hope you find this helpful and informative, and by no means do we say you should not be afraid to experiment with different shapes and styles. Remember...the only real Judge is YOU!!!

A SPRING IN YOUR STEP.
Well its all go here at Sendoptics.
We are currently in the throws of still tidying up the old site and continuing with the improvements. All we can say is a huge thanks to those working on the improvements, your feedback and of course your patience, we never anticipated the changes taking this long but little did we know!! Again, thank-you and please keep those peepers peeled for the new lines soon to be introduced which we cannot wait to present and also to hear your thoughts on....
So other than the website what else have we been up to since our last words? Well the sale went down a storm and we MAY be throwing another one sometime again this month or early feb for you to take advantage of the new lines. After hearing all about the film "The Artist"...we decided to potter on over and check out if all the fuss was worth it, and boy was it!. you are thrown into the world of silent film on the roaring 20's inspiring imagery and clothes that you would sell your mother for. The only thing missing on either of the stars were optics for the leading lady Berenice Bejo... she would have definitely have suited a daring pair of Swarovski,Bvlgari or even Miu Miu's new collection though they are based around the 1940's, well fashion does go full circle after all!! As for Jean Dujardin he would have definitely been at home in Oliver Peoples,Paul Smith or Ray-Ban, classic and cool like himself.A must see before it sweeps the oscars.
what with the awards season on its way we would like to see who you would award the sendoptics golden specsappeal award to? the person could be dead or alive as long they are proud to be caught wearing specs.
what have you got to lose and remember keep them peeled for us and if you see something you think we should be aware of please let us know via (the usual e-mail address).
We hope 2012 is going as well for you as it is for us and remember those sunglasses in this winter light and also keep cool whilst it's unseasonably mild.
regards, The judge x.

Hilton rocks with Bvlgari and extensions
If you want beautiful long hair you no longer need to go through the painstaking years of growing it. You don’t even have to go to your hairdresser for some extensions any more. Now you just clip and go.
Check out Paris Hilton and her long locks. She’s got a Bandit hair extension headband created which just slides over her head, making it as simple as possible and providing you with instant long hair.
And with her favourite Bulgari sunglasses she’s really rocking the look.
