UV and Winter Sun by AlexYou must protect your eyes as much during the winter months against harmful UV as in the summer. It is a myth that summer heat is associated with sunburn. It may be getting close to freezing, the leaves falling off the trees, but this has nothing to do with the power of the the sun’s UV.A good guide to what the sun exposure is to look at your shadow. If the shadow is SHORTER than you , typically as it is at noon , make sure you are protected. All our sunglasses feature UV protection and meet CE regulations so giving your eyes the best protection necessary. So when you go on your skiing holiday especially this winter, be sensible and wear sunglasses/ ski goggles along with UV protection on your lips and exposed parts of your face. You will regret it later on if you do not.For any other advice please do not hesitate and send us an e-mail toadmin@judgeopticians.co.uk
