Cornbury Festival And Big Ideas.

Hello Judges,

Well what a week ! The temperatures have been on the up here in the UK. We have been busy at www.sendoptics.com cheering on Andy Murray who has now sadly bowed out of Wimbledon.

The Cornbury festival is on this weekend with a stellar line up for all the family. The festival itself is a popular family fixture for many, with great bands for everyone. The festival is more accessible to most than Glastonbury. The set that frequent the festival are the yummy mummy set with their trendy kids. Maxi dresses are a must, along with hunter wellies, Barbour and the obligatory sunglasses from www.sendoptics.com.

To stand out in the crowd at Cornbury you want to try.

1 - Bottega Veneta- clear frame with the famous plaited leather effect the house is famous for.

2- Celine Retro for those of you who need a slimmer frame with maximum impact try these for size.

3 - Diormetaleyes 1 - For you true fashion followers this frame has been seen on Lindsay Lohan many a time so we know they are great for covering up the evidence of a late night or two !

4 - Emporio Armani Got to love the young Armani Label crafting quality and style with little quirks great for any holiday or event.

5 - Prada - The Baroque has been turned into a real show piece with encrusted Swarovski crystals. Very Dolly Parton. The frame is a staple favorite with both Beyonce and Rihanna, both of whom have worn all of next seasons trends to death already.

According to Vogue, the biggest news of the moment happens to be in relation to big fashion, not the normal big labels but curves. Many labels are starting to cater for larger sizes. Now with the rise of blogging and social media campaigns, labels are having to adapt or die. blogs such as Girlswithcurves.com are helping to shape a style movement that is fast gaining ground.

You may consider that some sunglasses are not suited to the larger face shape ladies, but think again here is the Judges' guide for buying and wearing your sunglasses.

1 - Consider the width is more than the depth of the actual frame.
Fendi they have the ultimate in frames with a cats eye that is made up of a special unique double acetate. Many options from the king Karl including the 0017, the Iridia 0041 and the 0025.
fendi-spring-2014-campaign14

Miu Miu have the fantastic 10NS for adding angles to the face and instant glamour with style. Miranda Kerr owns the whole collection and constantly reuses these sunglasses. Also consider the Rasoir.

2- Avoid overly round frames as these will make the face look larger. Oliver Peopleshave two sunglasses that would not be suited for a rounded face the Gregory Peck and the Sheldrake

3 - Pronounced cheekbones - avoid anything with a large depth. metal frames have adjustable bridge pads and can help to t the face perfectly. Consider Alexander Mcqueen for adding glamour with showing this rules. Dolce & Gabbana have an excellent catseye that is not too angled but has an a very subtle rounded shallow finish. Other labels such as Celine and Saint Laurent have some strong examples

Celebrate the Jubilee with Swarovski and Bvlgari

Hello from a very hot and happy Judge,
How the devil are my favourite Judges' ? Well, this weekend sees the biggest day for our long reigning Queen and I would like all of us Judges to raise a glass of fizz to wish Queen Elizabeth the 2nd best of heath and have a fantastic day. The Diamond jubilee has us all feeling rather proud and patriotic. It is for this reson this Judge has decided to celbrate the coming diamond Jubilee weekend with a little summer deal for you fashion savvy folk. For the long bank holiday weekend there will be an extra 20%off on Swarvoski sunglasses and Bvlgari sunglasses from sendoptics.com with a choice of free gift aswell. Type in PROMO CODE JUBER2
Keeping this extremely patriotic ,it would be wrong that I did not include Paul Smith sunglasses, Alexander McQueen sunglasses and Stella McCartney sunglasses in the sale as well .Come on , they are all now the British success story in the fashion world. Paul Smith seems to be a very busy man of late with his launch in to the world of cycles , he is from Nottingham and with the death of Alan Oakley the creator of the Raleigh Chopper it came as a surprise to many that Paul Smith would do this. Stella McCartney has designed the Team GB outfits for the forthcoming Olympics, and Alexander McQueen designed THAT dress worn by our Kate.
Bvlgari is a long established Italian fashion house who was origianlly created in the realms of rich jewels and lashings of gold. The typical Italian lady loves the simple shapes of the sunglasses with the glamorous touches of the gold coin or crystals that finish off the look to make these truly beautiful sunglasses.
Swarvoski once renowned for it's collectable crystal pieces now has reached a success in the fashion marketplace with it's elements collection now being sported by many a famous face and supplying all the major fashion houses with there beautiful sparkling nuggets. The Swarvoski sunglasses range was only launched last year and already has a cult following and with Cheryl Cole and Heidi Klum , both being pictured out and about in these you can hardly fail to see them.
So Judges', how are you enjoying the weather.... are you finding yourself ready for the rain and the cold, wishing it was back for a couple of nights?.. Hoping to get the sleep back to normal ,or are you wishing work would hurry up so you can relax outside like myself. However you choose to spend your time in the great weather never leave home without your SPF and sunglasses.
Cheers Ma'am and Judges remeber to keep 'em peeled
The Judge.

Because we Cannes, Cannes, Cannes.....

Well hello Judges,
Its lights ,camera, action time.... you got it Judges', it’s the 65th annual Cannes film festival. My favourite place in the Med’ is playing host to the films that we will be watching throughout the forthcoming year.
Kelly Brooke has certainly been wowing the crowds in her, how do I say, beautiful and eye-catching outfits. Last night saw Miss Brooke in a floor length white jacket with a black leotard and sky scraper heels, completing her outfit was Dior cat eye sunglasses 'les maitrise', transforming the beauty into a siren from the 50’s.
Brad Pitt is there to promote his latest film' killing me softly ',and was seen in both Balenciaga tuxedo and Balenciaga sunglasses which were Aviators . Who said American actors, always play safe. Brad is officially my style hero.
I am sat here in the office in between patients', writing today ,and everyone is just complaining about the heat. We Brits are never happy!!! It was only a few days ago we were all sick of the cold and rain. This Judge most certainly loves the arrival of British Summertime. I have a dilemma now though.... which of the 17 pairs of sunglasses do I wear???
This dilemma has made me wonder how many pairs of sunglasses do you Judges' own? How do you wear your sunglasses and for what reason?
You may have noticed Judges', on Sendoptics.com that we have launched Alexander McQueen sunglasses and also the wonderful French label Celine sunglasses . We are having a great time at the moment and are currently awaiting new styles from Jonny Depp’s favourite Oliver Peoples sunglasses and Tag Heur sunglasses and everyone’s favourite Prada sunglasses and Miu Miu sunglasses .
Well my Judges thank you for your time and enjoy the sun!
Stays safe in the strong summer sun , and remember SPF and Sunglasses is a staple in the sun.
Do not forget, if you get 25 people to 'like' us on facebook...send optics 92 separate words), we will give you an extra £20 off the discounted price, and anyone living outside europe get them duty-free, so saving an additional 20%!!!!.. How can you refuse!

Our hearts will go on for Celine...

Well Hello Judges,
I hope this finds you well and enjoying the warmer weather, ha!...it is in my head ,and as an act of rebellion ,I have been sporting sunglasses out and about even in the cold damp weather of late. The summer certainly seems to be struggling to keep it's grip. Oh well ,we have to keep calm and carry on; despite this we have so much to look forward to... what with the impending Jubilee weekend on it's way and the Olympics..... My bet is we have donkey races, sack relays and darts in smokey pubs included just for us Brit's.
Hopefully you have noticed two new arrivals on the site by now ....Mcqueen sunglasses which has you all in a flutter with it's feather etching and simple shapes. There will be a separate Mcqueen blog to tell you all about this stunning new collection. The latest collection to take shape is the super luxury French label Celine , not Dion you smart Alec Judges. Celine is the super luxury label favoured by the likes of Rhianna (when she wants to keep her clothes and sunglasses on) Madonna (the human clothes horse) and many more Hollywood A lister's.
Celine itself began life in the 1945 as a children's bespoke footwear designer created by Celine Viapana and is now in the capable hands of Phoebe Philo who has entered a stage in her design career that suits the brands heritage. Philo wishes to create collections that merge into each other through the season so that you can link past with present like Viapana championed. Throw away fashion is not what the brand or Philo have been about updating fabrics, colours and shapes but gimmicks are a no no.
The label has a huge debt of thanks to pass onto Philo for creating somewhat of a cult for the wide legged trousers, and extra long cuffed white shirt that has no collar, the dress that stands away from the body rather than clinging to every curve for it's dear life. All in all Philo has created a look that is unique in a time when skinny jeans and tight dresses are still a big part of fashion. Like all fashion ,not everyone suits or wants to wear the same look so Celine is maybe a little different in it's trend ,but it still is ranked amongst one of the most influential French fashion institutes and it's accessories are to die for. The label's customer is intelligent, modern and like there fashion to be unassuming and timeless.
Celine sunglasses were recently featured in British vogue with Jourdan Dunn seductively holding them. What a waste I say, and Rhianna recently wore them to hide her party hard fatigue and was caught on the front cover of Grazia UK magazine. Celine is a label for all you stylish ladies and the sunglasses are able to fit both men and women's faces. The collection of sunglasses is only available through exclusive London Boutiques, the Celine website and other hand picked stockists , andthis is why I am so delighted to be able to present this wondrous timeless collection to you my Judges.
So what have you been upto, picnics in the great outdoors reading a good book or curled up on the sofa like me with the heating back on..... more like come on May i need my vitamin D.
We have lots of other things coming very soon... Prada Teddy and Dixie are being photographed and collection is awesome quirky in a way only Prada knows how.
Well of late I have been working a little too hard for you Judges' , and have been having a few early nights. You all keep me buzzing with your comments and we are getting lot's of likes on facebook which keeps this Judge smiling. Don't forget, is you get 25 people to 'Like' us on facebook (send optics 2 separate words) we will give you £20 off your next purchase, and don't forget, non eu customers get them duty free so no VAT tax to pay, so 20% on top of that!
So question..... if you follow us on Facebook what content do you like to see images, videos or text ?
For now Judges I have my dinner to prepare
Keep 'em peeled

A Duchess of style, and a McQueen to beat the best of the rest...

Hello my Judges,
How the devil are you ?. It seems the sun is struggling in the cloud leaden skies of late. I have lots to tell you, but again I have been told to keep it short and sweet ( what the hell ,I will do as I like....).
Well last month saw a year since The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge tied the knot ,and congratulations to them both; how did you celebrate the big day.?.... I was of course locked up in the optician's sorting my customers out with glasses and sunglasses. Kate already heralded as one of the most influential fashion icons of modern times got married in Mcqueen, designed by Sarah Burton ,who created heaven in a dress with the lace being made in Nottinghamshire and Paris and hand cut... the detailing was nothing short of genius.
Mcqueen was founded by Lee Mcqueen back in 1993 a young Londoner who shook the stale fashion world up. His ethos was based on sharp cuts with the use of tailoring methods and traditional or futuristic fabrics. All in all the look was easily unique, and gave Mcqueen a reputation as a rising star and soon catapulted him to new highs. He remained there until 2010 with his untimely death and his best friend Sarah Burton remains true to the original ethos.
You guessed it yet then Judges.....?! That is right I am pleased to say we have the new collection of Mcqueen sunglasses collection. The collection is stunning and has something for everyone . Colours are subdued with a few shapes going from unisex aviators to over sized acetate frames with feather etching and splashes of colour, so you can sport a wearable aspect of this incredible offering from the world famous label Alexander Mcqueen , and will continue to mean fashion on the edge with a quality synonymous with hand finishing and quirky ideas.
Not everyone will be wearing Alexander Mcqueen, but to be honest with the way labels are selling this year, the big hitters are not at the top of the pops , it's more niche people are looking for something more unique. This collection of sunglasses certainly has unique twists, utilising the iconic skull and mcq that are the only branding to feature on these sunglasses.
So Judges are you keeping up with me on Facebook I hope so...... 'Like' us ..send optics (2 separate words) and keep upto date with special offers, news and competitions. Remember, www.sendoptics.com is the home of designer sunglasses at discounted prices. Alexander Mcqueen are 20% less at the moment and between friday 18 may until 21 may 2012 you will get an EXTRA 10% off ALL brands if you put promo code may2012 at check out to get this extra discount, but DONT FORGET!!!....it's a flash sale and only applies 18/5 ---- 21/5!!!!...and If you live non europe you get them duty free at 20 % less on top as they are VAT tax free.....how can you refuse!...
For now Judges' keep Judging and keep em Peeled
We have also launched another very exclusive label Celine , more about this next week, so keep on checking us out and Keep those peepers protected
Keep smiling
The Judge
