New looks, Styles of the desperate, and astronomy with Armani

Hello Judges',
Well Hello all my lovely Judges'.... Paris Couture has continued with a renaissance of styles and some new stars emerging from classic houses. Dior yet again created a new look that is all the talk of Vogue and the fashion tree. The shapes have become voluminous and nipped in the right places,The revolution of Dior was the most talked about thanks to the understated glamour and pillaging of the archives and the staple of the original new look pockets. That is right Judges'... pockets in Couture !!...mind blowing and totally nouveau.
A star of the true modern classics can only be described as the Armani Prive show, taking his influence from the Mediterranean evening sky with twinkling swarvoski crystal against midnight blue silks , silk taffetas and velvet and organza, and not to forget the stunning Italian suitings. Armani has been churning out prize winning couture collections for years but this to me and many others seemed to be the truest of all simple, yet bold , stunning and understated. Many could be seen on the front row of the show in some of the new Armani Sunglasses from both this year and the year to come to continue with the frames for life campaign.
Versace was another intruiging addition to the Couture week shows in Paris, with the first show since the untimely death of Gianni. The collection was true Versace, oozing glamour, brash patterns and models spilling out of tight fitting bodices and hip length slashes to make even Angelina Jolie excited about the next red carpet. Donatella paid homage to her brother's archives and turned it into something more for todays couture customer.
Well Judges', after sitting there watching all these stick thin models parading about in dresses that cost more than a BMW, and only get made to show the creativity of the designer , and also to tempt the likes of many a Saudi or Japenese couture dress that will not be ready for at least six months from now.
After a weekend of dissapointment for Murray, there was also the rather deflated British Grand Prix , no Jenson button in his Tag heuer sunglasses, Dario Franchitti in Oakleys.
The Olympics are less than 20 days away and all I keep thinking is, God help us if the sun does not finally come out, well at least Tom Daley will feel at home.
For now Judges I am off to make some salad and start writing the follow up to this Blog .
Do not forget, www.sendoptics.com is the home for discounted designer sunglasses, and you non-EU customers get them at a further 20% off due to being duty-free!....how can you refuse!..

Milan, Menswear, and a whole new look...

Hello Judges,
Well the world of fashion has yet again been on a runaway train with Milan menswear collections .The most amzing collection in this was Armani and Dolce and Gabanna which both featured simple silouhette's but a new look at last. The essence is that the shape instantly looks more relaxed and comfortable with its fantastically wide legged trousers.

The look that Paul Smith went for was a still slim and tapered and to be honest, a little tired look if it was not for the fantastic use of colour and pattern. Dior homme can only be described as an elegant version of a look that really works well and a nod back to the twenties and the infamous great gatsby.

So other than just the Menswear collection, the best day for fashion that has happened in years.. yes you got it Judges ...The Dior couture collection finally arrived to a sea of enraptoured editors, famous faces and the whole of the limited market that Raf Simons will be supplying. The Dior colllection gave birth to what can only be described as yet another new look. Judges', if you have not seen the collection get onto the Daily Telegraph fashionm website and check out the creativity in both Milan and Paris.
Check out on www.sendoptics.com the Dior Homme sunglasses collection, the Giorgio Armani sunglasses collection and the Paul Smith sunglasses collection to compliment the look . And do not forget, if you are a non-EU resident, you get them at duty-free prices, so a further 20% off the already discounted price!...How can you refuse..

Well for now Judges, I am off to carry on watching Wimbeldon and hopefully Murray will win it for us and make this year an even bigger reason for us to be proud to be be British

Get ready to party!

Well, we are in the middle Judges' of the festival season...Download has been and gone for all you rockers....No Glastonbury this summer, but waiting to get those cherished tickets for next year. Cornbury is on this weekend, so all you Newton Falkner fans get on down....hopefully not in the slurry!....and this has made me think....what sunglasses would look good with your Hunter wellies whilst getting down to the bands?......

This year, there are 2 main candidates.....

Dsquared neon collection model DS 0093 which is this season's biggie. The unisex acetate sunglass created by those urban favourite twins from Canada has been rolling out for both boys and girls. The sunglasses come in great colours and beautiful crafted mirrored lenses, which add detail to the simplest of outfits. And do not think you have to be under 25 to wear them....I have sold the black pair with bronze lenses to the most stylish 65 year old lady.....she loved them, and is probably going to be the coolest lady on her cruise.

Prada teddy collection is the latest coolest sunglass launched by the House of Prada. Lightweight and cool , having lenses for you budding Golfers' as well. See!....designer sunglasses are for all, not just the fashionistas amongst you!..

As I keep informing you, so you do not forget, www.sendoptics.com only sell current models and all have a 12 month gaurantee and come with their authorised packaging. All sunglasses are discounted, and for you non-EU residents, duty free as well so making them a further 20% less!....just state at check-out you are from outside europe. If you forget, our eagle eyed staff will make a note, take the price off for you and e-mail the new price...see!...we all look after your interests!..

Well I am now off to watch Torvill and Dean do some skating with the olympic torch in Nottingham!...Live life in the fast lane me!....and i will be wearing my Teddies!!!

Keep 'em peeled,

A date with Dior

Well Hello Judges,
The weeks are flying by, and all moulding into one. This week so far we have had the nail biting England match and I hate to admit it, but Italy, you were the better side...well done!. Queens club was controversially closed due to David Nalbandian shocking the crowds and injuring one of the linesman with the sponsor boards. Wimbledon has just started, and surprise, surprise...the weather is holding out...so far. Royal Ascot has been and gone, and have to say thank god for the Daily Mail's fashion coverage of some of the state's of dress ...thanks to the new dresscode...... blue spandex and fake boobs look questionable in what is supposed to be a classy affair.
Talking of a class date, we are all looking forward to is the first show by Dior's new man in place Raf Simons. The rumour mill is already wondering and spouting off what the inspiration for his collection will be, and if he will carry it off. Personally, I think Raf will do a sterling job. He has an affinity for design and he will take the Dior back to it's true ethos with his usual modern interpretation .
The Dior sunglasses collection this season is inspired namely by retro shapes , and subtle colours and the staple classic black. Cat's eyes and big shapes are the staple in many collections but Dior are doing what they do best and revisiting the past and spinning it with the new colours. The nude colours are a particular success and the red in Les Marquises Dior Hatuaa are second to none and currently your most favourite and Vogues favourite retro frame.
Dior homme Black tie collection sunglasses mix masculine frames with upfront fashion and a mix of old styles in strong masculine colours. My personal favourites are the Dior black tie 120s. Jay Z is a massive fan of both the black tie collection and Bottega Venetta sunglasses . If it's good enough for Mr Beyonce then it's good enough for us Judges.
Gucci is attracting a host of the new blood in the style stakes .Robert Pattison, and Spidermans Emma stone both stunned at premieres and R patt's is on the phone to headquarters for his red carpet style tips and of course freebies. Also Gucci have never failed in the style stakes and are classic and made of the highest quality materials for the classics you know you can count on Gucci. So look at our Gucci sunglasses on www.sendoptics.com.
For now Judges' , thank you so much for reading and also for those of you who like us on 'send optics' facebook page.
For now Judges stay cool and keep 'em peeled

At the end of the 2012 we will all need sunglasses...

Well Hello Judges,
I am sat here lying on my sofa...covered in woad as it is the midsummer's day today...the weather is too bad to go chanting at Stonehenge, so I am doing it in the comfort of my lounge....Only six days to go until the Mayans are proven right or wrong.....so why not go out with a bang with style and finesse, with a pair of sunglasses from www.sendoptics.com. All have a 12 month month gaurantee against manufacturing fault, but hey!...who cares....we may not be here!....
Last evening I had an impromptu sunglasses try on session with four friends who wanted to see the latest collections... so we tried on Stella McCartney sunglasses, Paul Smith sunglasses , Giorgio Armani sunglasses , of course Prada sunglasses and Miu Miu sunglasses . Lets just say , the mirrors were all crammed as were the faces, and each and everyone of my friends left with at least a pair of sunglasses .
Prada went down a storm with both the guys and the gals one of my good friends bought two pairs one of the new Teddy collection models and one of the classic aviators. Whilst we were laughing and joking over the need for sunglasses at the end of the world ,we watched two fantastic programmes on the Discovery Channel about the end of the world. So it looks like Pandamoneium strikes Prada and awaiting Disaster with Dior . The end of this year will bring Solar flares, the opening of the magnetosphere meaning a reduced ozone layer. Increased solar radiation ...so Judges you better get those peepers used to Sunglasses right now.
Prada have recently launched a new ' voyages' collection of seperates and also accesories with kitsch prints and brights. The collection took shape from the old ideas of people having specific travel wardrobes. As with anything Prada seems to do it is already the collection that everyone is clamouring for.
Well for now judges I am going to tidy the flat and take down the bunting from the Jubilee.Do not forget, www.sendoptics.com is the home of discounted designer sunglasses, and duty free for non-eu residents, so saving a further 20%. Like us on facebook at send optics (2 separate words) to keep informed, and for further offers.

Euro 2012 is in full swing so lets celebrate!

Hello Judges,
Well what a roller coaster of a weekend this one has so far proved to be. The weather seems its usual unpredictable British self..... rain and wind followed by the sun and even temperatures. Enough of that for now or you will think me a typical Brit sparking up the usual conflab. So in this weeks news we have had Spain accepting a bailout of epic proportions, is 25% unemployment and 45% cuts to the education system not enough to think that the country could prove to be a little like Greece? I feel sorry for us real folk who work or want to work hard and then just are at the mercy of the grand puppeteers.... Who is pulling the strings.....
Enough politics, and onto the wonderful game of football. If you love it, or hate it, this summer there will be no escaping the Euro 2012. The town last night was buzzing with folk outside and inside watching the matches live on the big screen. So Europe is in crisis and how are fashions big houses coping with this.? Well ,of course throwing a multitude of new products at us Dolce & Gabanna have so far created a wonderful collection of both men's and womenswear, make up encased in 'Lace' or leopard print packaging echoing back to the feminine high tech 'Lace collection' and to celebrate the Euro 2012 is the coffee table book that features the Italian national squad in Dolce & Gabbana. Incidentally the Naughty Italian duo have tailored the squads suits for Euro 2012. Not to mention the luxury leopard print cycles for every stylish lady and gent about town.
Gucci ( Gucci sunglasses )though not so much in fashion news as everyone else at the moment continue to clothe the backs of every A Lister and any newcomer wants this historical house. Gucci itself is making big news in the luxury market over in China ,supporting the search for young musician of the year 2012. This is a clever strategic move for the luxury Italian house as the market over in the far east is the fastest growing market, and is currently set to be worth more than the whole of Europe in another 3 years. Gucci have collaborated with many companies over the years and this year saw another iconic Italian label seek help to celebrate a milestone. Fiat utilised Gucci for both the interior design and also upholstery design for their remake of the companies 500, hence their two limited styles called the 500. Gucci has over the last year created it's own museum celebrating the rise of the house from it's meagre beginnings to the mass global giant we see before us today. The giant does have a heart with it's launch of a sustainable eyewear collection last year as well, so Gucci is another company like Stella McCartney who mix ethics with style.
Talking of brands bigging up the Far East , Bottega Veneta has won the hearts of super chic Chinese shunning the likes of Louis Vuitton and traditional brands for the new line of historic fashion houses who shun Logo emblazoned design for the subtler luxury market. Bottega Veneta also celebrated the opening of it's first menswear store in New york where the store offer personalized accessories with monogrammed detailing. Another successful resort collection under its belt, and I still love their current Bottega Veneta sunglasses collection so much, I have several pairs ...just a shame the weather keeps trying to spoil my fun.
So Judges', you may have noticed that on the send optics facebook page I have been putting on my glasses icons, if not then please let me know who your eyewear heroes are.
For now Judges' I am off for a pint to watch another match ....

More Celebrations with Oliver Peoples.

Good day Judges,
I hope this reaches you well and rested after the long bank holiday and all the Jubilee celebrations wherever in the world you are. For Oliver Peoples, the celebrations are all set to begin this weekend with them celebrating there own milestone... 25 years of supplying the world with their own twist on retro with modern materials.
The Oliver Peoples label began back in 1986 with two gentlemen, Larry and Dennis Leight, in West Hollywood, selling retro frames... and have risen to grace the covers of countless fashion magazines. Oliver Peoples sunglasses are now considered to be amongst the top of the range sunglasses , and are permanent fixtures on the faces of Johnny Depp,Elijah wood, Rob Lowe, Brangelina,Jay Z,Robert Downey Jnr and of course not forgetting everyone's A list clothes horse Rhianna ( God, I would love some of her cast offs at the moment.. that girl must have more wardrobe space than a rugby field).
The Leight brothers began to amass a collection of genuine Hollywood pasts ophthalmics and began to turn their attention to developing their own frames, and change them into sunglasses. In 1994 Oliver Peoples were requested to develop the Optical range for Paul Simth sunglasses and eyewear, possibly one of the biggest accolades to date. The future for Oliver Peoples looks rosy , and with collaborations and a rich back catalogue of styles to continue to work, with no doubt the stars of the future will love this whole star studded look.
Judges'... so how are you finding this rather drab June ...? Firstly, the Bank holiday was a total wash out,and now the wind is making the temperature feel closer to October. Have no fear though, the Judge is fully equipped ready for the onset of Euro 2012 for England first match on Monday so good luck lads....well a 1-1 draw with France isn't as bad as I was expecting.. The team will be wearing suits supplied by Paul Smith for their official engagements off the Pitch.
Well Judges I have a date with the sofa and a good book
So for now in my Oliver Peoples Sheldrakes, Beckham sweatpants, white t shirt and big socks I will be chilling to the max.
Have a great couple of days and keep Judging
Don't forget to get in touch if there is anything you wish to see in the blog, or on the site ...together we can change the way people see us. Do not forget www.sendoptics.com is home for fashion led sunglasses. Non-Eu customers also get them duty free (A further 20% off)
